Artist Colony On The Beach
The region was originally known to the Spanish as “La Cañada de Las Lagunas” which means “The Canyon of the Small Lakes”, in reference to two lakes found near the head of Laguna Canyon. Laguna Beach has a warm Mediterranean climate with abundant sunshine all year. The “sensational vistas” and “the peaceful valley on the one side and the full sweep of the ocean on the other is enhanced by the thriving art community.
